
Interns work within a professional development or production context to fulfill a role within the creative team, gaining valuable hands-on work experience guided by professional practitioners.
Recent placements have included:
Laisa Gillis stage-managed a new play development workshop: CHAMBARA by Douglas W. Campbell, directed by Dean Gilmour, with actors Brian Tree and Douglas Morton.
Katie Honek stage-managed a creative development workshop for the installation MIRROR for Euphonopen, soprano and artist. The professional team included artist Isabella Stefanescu, scientist Klaus Engel, composer Ian Crutchley and soprano Helen Pridmore.
Interns Carina Gaspar, Stephanie Pisani and Stephanie McAlpine participated as research assistants doing dramaturgical research for the project Frankenstein’s Ghosts.
Intern Brad Cook participated as an actor in Frankenstein’s Ghosts and was subsequently asked to stay on with the project on a professional contract.
Stage managers Laisa Gillis and Joseph Recchia participated as interns in the Frankenstein’s Ghosts project. They were later hired on professional contracts for the Guerilla Sound Events.
